First day.

Warning Note to anyone squeamish - this diary will contain graphic descriptions and pictures of poos and waste material that comes out of the bowel, liver and kidneys. So if this is a problem then don't read on....

The reason I have started this detox is because I met a great lecturer called Nik who is a Herbalist based in Northumberland. I am in the process of taking a Bio-Medicine course with the CNM in Manchester and Nik was a visiting lecturer, specialising in herbalism, who talked a lot about detoxing...

Nik said that 75% of all disease could be alleviated by detoxing. He likened the body to a car and if the oil filter is dirty and clogged then there is no point in putting new oil into it. He also gave us some brilliant natural remedies for other ailments such as headaches, varicose veins and thread veins.

As I proceed with my detox over the next few weeks I will share some of this information with you, after I have tried it out on myself, especially the vein problems!

After his lecture practically the whole class saw the value of going on a detox.

Having had chronic constipation for the last 20 years bowel movements have not been regular, to say the least.

My capsules arrived on Tues and on Wednesday 20th Feb I took my first organic vegetable capsule containing only natural ingredients.

Thursday morning I had a small bowel movement about 10am, but at around 3.30 I had another quite positive expulsion of poo....!

This happened again on Friday and Saturday morning at around the same time of 8.00am....Amazing, for someone that has never been regular.

Today is Saturday and I feel amazed at how easy it has been to poo at a similar time and in rather large substantial amounts. I also feel lighter in mind too as well as body. I feel at least like I've lost a couple of pounds in weight already.

For the moment I have done nothing different with my diet except drink a little more water, and eat home made organic muselli for breakfast.

This diary will follow my detox journey and I will include tips and ideas for better health . So until the next Blog!
